Environmental health engineering is the control of factors in the living environment that in some way affect the physical, mental and social health of human beings. For the first time, a sanitation school was established in 1973 with the aim of training trained environmental health personnel for 6 western provinces of the country. In this educational center, students were admitted through regional free exams from 6 central provinces, Lorestan, Hamedan, Ilam, Kurdistan and Kermanshah, and at the same time they were employed by the former Ministry of Health and after a one-year training course, they started working.
